Primary 6 November 2023

29th Nov 2023
The pupils in Primary 6 have been busy in November.  In literacy we created autumn poems.  We tried to include rhyme, rhythm, alliteration and other poetic techniques.  We enjoyed typing them on the computer and adding an autumn border.  We also learned lots of facts and information about Anne Frank and used these to compile a biography of her life.  We really enjoyed this topic.

During Anti-Bullying week the theme was ‘Make a noise about Bullying.’ We created posters to highlight the theme.  Well done to Ella-Rose and Eamon whose posters were chosen as the winners.  In pairs we made up poems which also highlighted the theme and to show Bullying is wrong!

Also over the last six weeks we were lucky enough to have an Irish lesson on a Thursday.  We learned to discuss the numbers, weather, body parts, tell the time, clothes and lots more.  We each received a certificate and enjoyed the experience.

Well done one to all in P6 especially our Pupils of the Week, Accelerated Reader recipients and those who achieved a certificate in Mathletics.
