Children's Mental Health week
This week is Children's Mental health week and is especially relevant in the current pandemic situation. We all know our pupils are missing school, especially the social side of being with, playing with and laughing with their friends. We encourage all our pupils to always talk about their feelings and find ways of ensuring they keep their minds active and positive. We will be introducing a new initiative in our school which we will be calling Feel Good Fridays when we put an extra focus on healthy minds and bodies. One of our extra curricular programmes that we have found very successful on promoting positive mental health in our school is our Mindfulness sessions with our P7 classes. These are led by local expert Julieanne Reel. Julieanne has posted a special video this week for all school children to celebrate Children's Mental Health week and it can be accessed by clicking on the following link. https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/crnVFQRtB8
Pupils and parents can also visit https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/ for more information and advice on Children's mental health week. Please see the special virtual assembly provided by Children's Mental Health for all to view this week.
