December in Primary 4
Our classroom was a busy place during December, with lots of Christmas themed activities to be completed and preparations for our Christmas performance.
We continued to work hard in Literacy and Numeracy. We really enjoyed exploring playscripts in Literacy and performing different parts for 'The School Bell'. We also learned a new skill, being able to use a thesaurus to find synonyms. In Numeracy we have started to learn our times tables and we loved exploring them through games and interactive activities on the whiteboard.
A highlight during December was when Laoise's daddy visited us to show us how his 3D printer works. Earlier in the year Laoise had taken in some items that had been made using the printer and we were thrilled to get to see it in action. Mr Murray explained how it worked, what it needed and showed us some of the things that it can create. We even got to see and hold 'Printer Poop'! Mr Murray also VERY kindly made a snowflake for each of us to take home. We extend a HUGE thank you to Mr Murray for taking time to show us the 3D printer & for his generous gift.
