December in Primary 5 - Mr Duffy
It has been a very busy month during December with the start of Advent.
We made Advent wreaths and then created funny, colourful reindeer and elf pictures. Finally, we made our creative Christmas Hats, which we wore to our Christmas Dinner. We had a great day.
Next, we had a visit from Majella of The Rural Health Partnership. Majella completed a workshop with us on farm safety and how to avoid harm on the farm. Then local storyteller and poet Peter Carragher visited our class. We first met Peter on our school trip to the threshing day at Francie McBride’s farm. Peter enjoyed the day that much he made up a special rhyming poem called ‘A Wonderful Day’. We enjoyed listening to Peter’s stories of ‘days gone by’. He gave each of us a signed copy of his poem to keep and treasure.
We hope you like our video of the boys and girls performing their Christmas songs.
We wish you all a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year.
