February in Primary One.

This month saw the children learn about St.Brigid, Valentines Day, Money, Time and the Number 8. We checked on our bulbs that were planted in the Autumn and noticed the changes in our school environment especially the daffodils growing and the diggers chopping down big trees that had been damaged in the recent storm. We had visits from the P6 children who talked about ‘People Who Help Us’ and learned about what a real nurse does in a hospital. We learned how to take our pulses and looked at actual x-rays of bones. Lots of us painted Spring flower pictures and made our own clocks so we can tell the time.
