Girls’ Football team win the Duffy Cup!
Huge congratulations to our girls’ football team who today brought the Bronwyn Duffy cup to Cullyhanna for the first time. The girls won a tight fought final against a strong Armagh CBS team. The cup is the league cup and is named in honour of a former staff member of the CBS who was a strong supporter of girls’ football and we are honoured to win it. The cup was presented by Bronwyn’s mother and daughter to our captain Holly Quinn. Our girls will play the CBS again next week in the championship final with the winning cup named after our own Mary O’Reilly. We look forward to another great game. Well done to the team and also to Miss Donnelly who coached the team. Our P4-7 classes were on hand to give the girls a warm welcome back to school.
