The first month of the new year has been a busy one for Primary 5. We had a visit from Orla from Young Enterprise. She provided us with workshops on Employability and Finance. We enjoyed the workshops as let us experience some decisions that come in the real world of jobs and employment. In Literacy we wrote descriptions using adjectives and similes to describe a giant. In Numeracy we concentrated on fractions and learning the 6 and 7 times tables. We also celebrated Catholic Schools Week and listened to the story of Zaccheaus (the greedy tax collector). We started our new topic of the Ancient Egyptian’s and we are fascinated by some of the information we found out about them.
