March in Primary 4

31st Mar 2025
Each month seems to be busier than the last and March was no exception.

We had a lovely treat at the beginning of the month with pancakes for 'Pancake Tuesday'.  We also put a lot of effort in for our Irish assembly and the preparation for our Irish mass.

In numeracy we explored tessellation and money.  We have enjoyed calculating amounts and change within £5.  We loved playing 'Mathopoly'.  We also enjoyed the challenge of participating in 'World Maths Day' and were very proud of our achievements.

In World Around Us we continued our topic of 'Birds' with Miss Cumiskey and enjoyed taking part in a 'Bird Watch' as well as finishing our clay birds with Diane.  As part of our topic we have also explored flight and we LOVED testing different instruments of flight, making hot air balloons and creating our own paper planes.

In literacy we continued our work on fables and loved writing and illustrating our own fables.

We finished off the month by making something special for our mummies for 'Mother's Day'.
