During the month of November, we celebrated the Feast of All Souls, so our class made a list of family and friends that are with God in Heaven. While saying prayers we remembered all those special people. We decorated cards and displayed them on our classroom window in memory of our loved ones.
In Literacy and Art, we worked on activities related to Anti Bullying. We created rhyming poems and friendship recipes. Then we designed posters for the Anti Bullying Poster Competition. Two girls from our class won prizes for their beautiful artwork.
In Numeracy, we focused on mental maths strategies to help us add and take away correctly. We also consolidated x2, 5, 10 times tables.
In World Around Us we are learning about Farming. We have lots of famers in our class so we are excited to learn about this new topic. Una Walsh from the Rural Health Partnership visited our class and we completed a workshop on farming methods from long ago. So many thanks to Una for sharing her wonderful knowledge with us.
