Another month of 2025 comes to a close and Spring is almost here! We are starting to see signs of Spring around our school. 🌼✨
We celebrated many of our friend's birthdays in February and had a birthday themed P.E. lesson using balloons! 🎈
In Numeracy, we consolidated our knowledge on addition and learned some basic coding concepts by using Google Sheets to create Valentine’s themed Addition Pixel Art. We input data by completing the addition sum to create a colourful, cute image. This interactive activity not only engaged students but also encouraged them to think critically and creatively. 💻❤️
In Literacy, we have been exploring how to use present tense when writing a sentence by adding 'ing' to create new forms and meanings.
We are continuing to learn about our topic, People Who Help Us. We had a visit from Una Walshe who told us about nurses and teachers long before we were born.
We are very lucky at St. Patrick’s to have our wonderful artist, Diane. We created caterpillars using jumping clay. We learned how to roll the clay into balls and used various creative techniques to bring our caterpillars to life! 🐛
