Another great month of learning in Primary 2/3.
This month in literacy we followed instructions to make a jam sandwich. We then tried to write our own instructions in our literacy books. We know that instructions should have a title, numbers and bossy verbs. We also looked at dictionaries and we put words in alphabetical order.
In Numeracy we learnt how to add doubles and we loved singing our doubles rap! We worked hard to read number words all the way up to one hundred and we used a 100 square and a number line to find the answers to addition questions.
In World Around Us we sequenced the life cycles of a frog and of a plant. We looked at what plants need to grow and we know how to identify the different parts of a plant. We started our new topic called ‘Houses and Homes’. We drew pictures of our own homes and we labelled the different rooms inside of a house. We had a visit form Una Walsh who taught us about what houses were like in the past.
