P.3 May News
P.3 had a lovely day trip to Portmore Lough RSPB Nature Reserve to link to our P.3 World Around Us topic ‘Minibeasts’. We had fabulous weather, and we were able to enjoy our break and lunch outside on picnic benches.
We did a minibeast hunt, pond dipping and bird watching. We saw black headed gulls nesting and their chicks and eggs. One of the groups were lucky enough to catch a newt during pond dipping!
We have been painting different minibeasts on stones to take home to brighten up our gardens and making minibeasts in arts and crafts.
We celebrated May as the month of Mary in Religion and showed our respect and love for ‘Our Lady’ in our Religion display.
