P4 - Star Pupils - 29/05
A short week (with the bank holiday) and some beautiful sunshine for you all to get out and enjoy. I hope you have been very active outside this week and doing a little bit of school work to keep your mind active also. Remember learning doesn't just happen in the classroom or from the teacher, I'm sure you have all learned lots of new things and skills over the past number of weeks.
Alex wrote a wonderful fable this week called 'The Elephant & the Oxpecker'. It was lovely to see one of my favourite morals (one good turn deserves another) and our topic on birds combined - well done. She also enjoyed cycling in the beautiful sunshine.
Ella M has been a busy little bee, as always. She managed to strike the balance between getting school tasks completed and time outside, but remember Ella the quicker you get the school work done, the more time you have to play outside and enjoy the sunshine. ;) She also extended her cooking skills this week and made her very own LDV pizza, which looks delicious.
Denver was busy this week helping out on his uncle's farm and he got some wonderful news that he will have a little brother or sister later in the year. He kindly shared with us whether it will be a boy or girl, but we will let him have the joy of sharing that with you all himself. Congratulations Denver, we already know you are a great big brother to your little sister and are excited for you.
Lots of work on AR & Mathletics this week. Well done to Tommy Nugent who reached his AR Target for Term 3, I'm delighted to see you are still reading loads, keep it up. In Mathletics we already have 8 pupils who have achieved a bronze, with Denver & Jack achieving silver, whilst Shea has achieved his first gold certificate - congratulations! Keep working hard on both of these tasks at home, let's see if we can get the AR Trophy next week & have the highest number of Mathletics points.
