The P.4 and P.5 class visited the Palace Stables in Armagh. The trip was based on the WAU topic :- World War II. They met various characters from 1939-1945 and viewed many items including ration books, gas masks and secret codes/messages. Later they went into an underground shelter (and no-one was afraid!) Afterwards they made Identity Cards and Evacuee labels. Faye in P.5 was delighted because she got the opportunity to be a War Warden.
She seemed to enjoy shouting out commands and orders to the rest of the class! She proved to be a tremendous character. A great and enjoyable day was had by all. They learned lots of knowledge and some interesting facts about WW2.
