There was great excitement in the class at the start of the new year when St Patrick’s Cullyhanna became All Ireland Champions. We want to congratulate all the players and management on this great achievement. We look forward to the 3 cups coming into visit us soon.
We started a new topic on ‘Birds’ with two visitors Catherine and James from Oxford Island Dungannon. We looked at lots of stuffed birds (taxidermy) and they taught us how to identify birds and their sounds. We even played a bird sound game outside.
1st February is St Brigid’s day and to celebrate we had some parents bring us in lovely crosses they made at home. We also made our own crosses out of rushes. We also have to thank Teresa Nugent from Wald center that organised for us to have St Brigid’s healing blanket too. Thank you so much. It is very much appreciated!
