Members of our school choir participated in a lovely event held in the O'Fiaich centre on Sunday 15th October. The Irish singing event was an afternoon full of song and craic as the many songs of Abair Amhran were performed. The event is one of many planned to celebrate the centenary of Cardinal O'Fiaich's birth which occurs this year. It was also nice to see a group of recent past pupils also perform at the event. Many thanks to Mrs Ziegesloo for all her work preparing our choir for this event. Special thanks also to Joanna Shields for her help and for her piano accompaniment. The event was filemd by the RTE cameras for inclusion in the Nationwide program which will be braodcast in November so watch out for that.
