Many of our P7 pupils attend an after school knitting club on Mondays and Tuesdays led by classroom assistant, Kathleen Burns. The club is really popular this year with the knitters very enthusiastic about their newly acquired craft. The group wanted to do something special with their talents so they have been busy knitting tiny hats and blankets for the Daisy Hill Maternity ward. The hats and blankets will be used for premature babies and we were delighted when Daisy Hill midwife, Grace Finnegan visited the school to collect all of the knitted items. Well done to our knitters... we are so proud. Thank you also to Kathleen who mentors these children so well.
