Our girls' football team produced a magnificient performance to win the large schools' championship and with victory, the Mary O'Reilly cup came back to Cullyhanna. We again played the very talented Armagh CBS girls and after a rollercoaster of a game where over 45 girls showed their skills throughout, the St Patrick's Girls came out on top. This win was special for us becasuse Mary O'Reilly was a much loved member of our school community who was an avid supporter of girls' football. Mary's youngest daughter Ciara was our captain and her dad Gerard and sister Erin presented the cup. Thank you to the CBS team and their teachers for another great morning of football. A special word of thanks to Miss Donnelly who has mentored the team to another cup success. Our girls have now won the league and championship double, what a team! They will go down in history as one of our most successful teams and to achieve this in the year of our 50th anniverasary is great.
