Playtime Partners
St Patrick’s Playtime Partners!
We are excited to share the ongoing ‘Playtime Partners’ initiative, one introduced and led by our senior pupils, with the aim of creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
What is Playtime Partners?
Senior pupils volunteer to model positive play with Nursery and KS1 children before school starts. They demonstrate good play practices and encourage cooperation, making mornings joyful for our younger students.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Morning Play: Engage with Nursery, Foundation Stage and KS1 pupils, modelling good play.
- Break and Lunchtime: Monitor behaviour and play in senior playgrounds, supporting staff on duty.
Benefits of the Program
As an initiative, the ‘Playground Partners’ align closely with our school’s values.
Senior pupils develop leadership skills, embodying our commitment to excellence. Younger pupils have positive role models, fostering a sense of community and inquisitiveness. Additionally, there is extra support for staff, demonstrating empathy, effort, and love.
We are incredibly proud of our Playtime Partners who, through the great example they set, have a positive impact on our school community.
